About Me

• Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Computer Vision/AI/Medical Image Analysis, at the Department of Computer Science, University of Exeter.
• Member of Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science (LCCS), led by Prof. Gregory Lip.
• Postdoctoral Research Associate (2022.05 - 2024.01) in the Eye and Vision Science Department, University of Liverpool, UK, advised by Prof. Yalin Zheng and Dr. Nicholas Beare.
• He had a Ph.D. (2019-2022) in the Eye and Vision Science Department, University of Liverpool, UK, where he was supervised by Prof. Yalin Zheng and Prof. Xiaowei Huang. He had an M.Sc (2017-2018) in the School of Computing, University of Leeds, UK, and a B.Eng (2013-2017) in the Software Engineering Department, Capital Normal University, China.
• Yanda’s current research mainly focuses on Medical Image Analysis, Foundation Models, Data-Efficient Deep Learning, Trustworthy AI, Geometric Deep Learning, etc. He has published more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences and first-authored more than 10 publications at prestigious journals/conferences, such as ICCV, ECCV, BMVC, MICCAI, IEEE-TMI, IEEE-TITS, MedIA, Diabetologia, etc. He serves as a reviewer for many journals/conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, MICCAI, Medical Physics, AIM, CMIG, CBM, MedIA, IEEE-TMI, IEE-TIP, IEEE-TCSVT, IEEE-JBHI, etc.. and a lead guest editor for Frontiers in Medicine.
